Want your smartphone to have a good battery-life? Start charging it the right way

If you want to get the most use out of your phone between charges, you can't go wrong with these tips to Start charging your smartphones the right way.
best way to charge a phone

You know how much you rely on your phone. It’s no wonder that robust battery life means more to you than you ever thought possible.

This might come as a shock, but most of you have been charging the phones and tablets the wrong way.

You must have heard or read on WhatsApp about phone on overnight charging exploding and causing injuries or death to the user while the person was asleep. Well don't worry, the overnight charging wouldn't do that to your phone, but it is also not recommended, according to the findings of Cadax , a company that offers devices that test smartphone and other batteries.

According to Battery University, which the company runs for free, the phone needs to charged in short bursts and not too frequently, if you want to a good overall battery life.

It doesn't matter if you only charge up 10% or 20% as, according to Battery University: "Partial charges cause no harm."

Also, if you want to lessen the wear and tear to your battery, do not hit the red zone, which is 15 per cent in most of the phones.

Try to keep the device between 65% and 75% -- "the sweet spot", according to the website.

Many of you might be thinking that "hey, I don't have a desk job. I won't be around a wall socket all the time." Well in that case lay your hands on a power bank.

The experts have also recommended that never ever, never ever, never ever charge your battery fully.

Try to keep it around 95 and you are good to go.

Why you ask?

Well, that's because today's modern lithium-ion batteries do "not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so."

The website states: "In fact, it is better not to fully charge, because a high voltage stresses the battery".

And now, the last point, which may confuse you.
'You don't need to remove the charger when it's full'

What? 'I just read something on the contrary'. Well, yes you are right. But, if it so happens that you have left your phone on charging and it has hit the 100% mark, then the charger, according to the website, will automatically turn off.

Still, it is recommended that you avoid leaving your phone on overnight charging, hitting the 100 per cent mark and inculcate the habit of juicing up the device frequently and in small doses.

Chrome begins Blocking annoying ads based on the Better Ads Standards

While most advertisements on the web is aware of client encounter, throughout the years, chrome has progressively gotten notification from clients that some promotions can be especially meddling. As was reported last June, Chrome will handle this issue by expelling advertisements from destinations that don't take after the Better Ads Standards. We've already talked about a portion of the points of interest encompassing how Chrome shields clients from nosy advertisements, however as we approach the dispatch date of February 15, we needed to go in the engine and examine how this component functions in more detail.
  better ads standards

What are the Better Ads Standards?

The Better Ads Standards are the consequence of open customer inquiry by the Coalition for Better Ads, an industry assembled and concentrated on enhancing clients' involvement with web based promoting. More than 40,000 web clients in North America and Europe took part in reviews where they were indicated regular advertisement encounters and requested to assess how meddlesome the encounters were. The most meddlesome advertisement encounters incorporate prestitial promotions (those full-page promotions that piece you from seeing the substance on the page) and glimmering energized promotions. More insights about the exploration and strategy can be found on the Coalition's site.
better ads standards mobile and pc

Despite the fact that a couple of the promotion encounters that disregard the Better Ads Standards are issues in the commercial itself, the larger part of risky advertisement encounters are controlled by the site proprietor —, for example, high promotion thickness or prestitial advertisements with commencement. This outcome prompted the approach Chrome takes to shield clients from a considerable lot of the meddling advertisement encounters recognized by the Better Ads Standards: assess how well locales agree to the Better Ads Standards, educate destinations of any issues experienced, give the chance to destinations to address distinguished issues, and expel promotions from locales that keep on maintaining a hazardous advertisements encounter.

Today, the Better Ads Standards comprises of 12 promotion encounters that exploration observed to be especially irritating to clients. Picture Source: Coalition for Better Ads

Assessing locales for infringement

Locales are assessed by looking at an example of pages from the site. Contingent upon what number of infringement of the Better Ads Standards are discovered, the site will be assessed as having a status of Passing, Warning, or Failing. The assessment status of destinations can be gotten to through the Ad Experience Report API. Site proprietors can likewise observe more nitty gritty outcomes, for example, the particular infringement of the Better Ads Standards that were found, by means of the Ad Experience Report in Google's Search Console. From the Report site proprietors can likewise ask for that their site be re-checked on after they have tended to the rebellious advertisement encounters.

The Ad Experience Report in Google's Search Console permits site proprietors to see their general site assessment status, and also the specifics of any infringement distinguished on their site.

Separating on destinations at the system level

At a specialized level, when a Chrome client explores to a page, Chrome's promotion channel first checks if that page has a place with a site that falls flat the Better Ads Standards. Assuming this is the case, organize asks for on the page —, for example, those for JavaScript or pictures — are checked against a rundown of known advertisement related URL designs. On the off chance that there is a match, Chrome will hinder the demand, keeping the promotion from showing on the page. This arrangement of examples depends on people in general EasyList channel leads, and incorporates designs coordinating numerous promotion suppliers including Google's own advertisement stages, AdSense and DoubleClick.

What this looks like in Chrome

how chrome blocks ads
Chrome will consequently piece promotions on destinations that fall flat the Better Ads Standards, utilizing the approach portrayed previously. At the point when no less than one Ad asked for has been blocked, Chrome will demonstrate the client a message showing that advertisement blocking has happened and in addition a choice to debilitate this setting by choosing "permit promotions on this site." For work area clients, the notice in Chrome's address bar will seem to be like Chrome's current fly up blocker. Android clients will see message in a little infobar at the base of their screen, and can tap on "points of interest" to see more data and abrogate the default setting.

Chrome will naturally square meddling promotions on locales that have been found to damage the Better Ads Standards, yet clients have the choice to cripple the component by choosing "permit advertisements on this site."

Early outcomes demonstrate positive advance for clients

While the aftereffect of this activity is that Chrome clients won't see advertisements on locales that reliably abuse the Better Ads Standards, our objective isn't to channel any promotions whatsoever yet to enhance the experience for all web clients. As of February 12, 42% of locales which were coming up short the Better Ads Standards have settled their issues and are currently passing. This is the result we were seeking after — that destinations would find a way to settle nosy promotions encounters themselves and advantage all web clients. Be that as it may, if a site keeps on keeping up resistant promotion encounters 30 days in the wake of being informed of infringement, Chrome will start to piece advertisements on that site.

We're supported by early outcomes indicating industry moves from meddling advertisement encounters, and look sending to proceeded with joint effort with the business toward a future where Chrome's promotion sifting innovation won't be required.

You can now pre-order apps for Apple devices

Apple has launched a simple new feature that makes it even easier to get the apps you've been waiting for. The company announced a new pre-order function that lets developers make their future releases available on the App Store up to 90 days in the future and have them automatically download to devices when they launch.

Apple says that the feature is available for free and paid apps on all of its platforms, meaning that iOS, macOS and tvOS devices are all supported (as long as they're running the most up-to-date software). Also, Apple won't take your money until the day the app is released, similar to how Amazon handles hardware pre-orders via its online store.

Read: Download Free Premium IOS Apps Now while they are Still Available

If a developer decides to change the price of an app before it launches, Apple will always charge whatever is lower: the price it was pre-ordered at or the cost when it becomes available.

Although the App Store has largely remained the same since its launch in July 2008, Apple has made a number of changes over the past year and a half. In June 2016, the company finally introduced subscriptions and began allowing developers to inject paid App Store listings within search results. However, there's still no option to test apps before you buy them.

World's Fastest Android Phone OnePlus 5 Beats Iphone 7 Plus in a Speed Test

The New smartphone from the OnePlus has just set a new record as the first android phone to beat an Iphone device in a speed Test. The two smartphones are very much similar to each other in looks and some specs.
Smartphone comparison reviews focus on the speed tests each smartphone can manage when carrying out certain tasks. Benchmarks, such as the Geekbench, have been used to compare phones for as long as smartphones became mainstream. However, a new test has been launched and it doesn’t rely on the technical parts of the device. Rather than running benchmarks for the devices, users on YouTube and other video channels have devised ways of comparing the speed of devices by how fast they launch an app for the first time, and how fast the same app can be launched from memory. And, for the first time, an Android device has beaten an iPhone.
In the tests, the same app was launched on both devices at the same time and the time taken to fully launch it was measured. In this test, the iPhone 7 Plus was quicker than the OnePlus 5 by a small margin. The second test entailed opening the same app from the memory of the phone. In this regard, the OnePlus 5 took the title of being the faster device of the two in what becomes the first time an iPhone was ever beaten by an Android phone.

It should be known that the iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB of RAM while the OnePlus 5 has 8GB. It is thus only reasonable that this large RAM would make it easier to recall data than the smaller one found in the iPhone. However, other devices with better specs on paper have failed to beat the iPhone as seen from flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel series of phones.
Furthermore, one of the reasons why OnePlus 5 was able to load apps faster than iPhone 7 Plus is its app animations, which are displayed while launching and closing apps. While iOS 10 has rather extensive animations that take you into and out of the app, OnePlus' animations are shorter in comparison and end up giving the edge to the smartphone.

While OnePlus has been accused of manipulating the benchmark scores with OnePlus 5, there is no doubt that the smartphone indeed delivers snappy performance. As it packs an impressive 8GB of RAM and comes with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, it is hard to imagine that the smartphone can face hiccups in terms of performance.

The OnePlus 5 looks very much like the iPhone 7 Plus from the camera position, the flash, the position of the logo and dimensions. Maybe, OnePlus has created a better iPhone than Apple.

5 Points to consider in taking better Photographs today

In today's cell phone driven  world, almost everyone  has a camera in their pockets at all times, and the final product is a large number of pics scattered everywhere throughout the web. Obviously, anybody can snap a photograph and upload it, however taking a decent pic is another story.

Most people assume that taking a nice picture is a very easy thing, however remember photography is no simple aptitude to ace. There are plenty of components that go into shooting a decent photo, and the same general tenets apply to any camera (in the event that you need to exceed expectations, that is.
Things are somewhat different with cell phones when contrasted with a conventional camera, however. This is the reason we are giving you an extensive instructional exercise for making the best out of your cell phone's camera. Let's begin yeah?

                                      camera lens
The primary spot to begin when attempting to take a decent picture is to clean your cell phone's camera focal point {lens}. These every now and again get to be messy and the outcomes will be a foggy picture. Each time you go to take a photo, give the lens a brisk wipe on your T-shirt first to clear away any grime.

                                picture composition
“composition” describes placement of relative objects and elements in a work of art. Consequently, composition is a key aspect of a good work of art. There is hardly a way to overemphasize the importance of composition. Any aspiring artist ought to give composition of his work a lot of attention. A good composition is one that has just enough detail. Too few elements is bad because it robs the work of art of necessary detail that makes correct interpretation possible. It also ruins the balance of an image. And too many elements can be very distracting as well. Good composition requires good balance. It is best to make sure all the elements present are necessary for the idea or story you are trying to pass on.
Basically, creating a picture implies organizing components inside it in a way that suits the center thought or objective of your work best. Masterminding components should be possible by really moving the articles or subjects. A decent case for this case is picture or still life photography.
Composition is a method for directing the viewer's eye towards the most imperative components of your work, now and then – in a certain request. A decent composition can make the dullest objects and subjects in the plainest of environments look like a masterpiece. Then again, an awful creation can destroy a photo totally, in spite of how fascinating the subject might be.

                                           picture background
The background is generally as essential as your subject. Ensure it looks great; if not, in any event keep it clean. Guarantee there is no garbage or clear disparities. Keep an eye out for purposes of getaway (diversions) that will lead your viewers far from your subject. This would incorporate splendid lights or hues, and striking objects.

camera flash

Flash photography is quite tricky. Individuals invest years attempting to perfect it, so for most amateur users it accomplishes more mischief than good to utilize the flash. Especially if you are going to be using a single-direction, low-quality flash like the ones you find in smartphones. They will more often than not botch up your highlights, explode the shadows and make an extremely unnatural look.

I would just never utilize the flash unless i am in an exceptionally dim spot with no counterfeit lighting to offer assistance.

                                       volume button
when shooting a selfie, it's very easy to drop your phone when trying to press the capture button. By activating touch-to-capture under camera settings, it's difficult to miss the trigger: it turns into the entire screen.

Then again, contingent upon which is your favored hand, it might be less demanding to press the volume controls. This alternative isn't accessible on every gadget, yet in the event that it's on your handset you ought to discover it in the settings menu under volume control capacity, or use volume control as.

How to Identify a Song on Any Smartphone, PC, or Tablet

Before now to Identify a song playing on the TV,radio, or in a movie, our best bet was to hope our friends knew it or try to listen to the lyrics and search for them. Now, you can just have your phone, tablet, or PC listen to it to get the song details
Apps like Shazam, Siri, Google Now, and Cortana can all do this.

iPhone and iPad : SIRI
siri voice search
Press and hold the iPhone’s physical “Home” button to open Siri.
You will hear two quick beeps to tell you that Siri has woken up and is waiting to do your bidding.
Once Siri has opened,  ask a question or ask Siri to perform a task such as emailing or texting. Siri will automatically detect when you have stopped speaking, but you can optionally press the microphone icon to show you have finished speaking.
If you requested Siri to do something such as send an email or text, Siri will show you a draft of the proposed message before it is sent.  To send the message,  say “send” or touch the “send” button.

google now voice search
Google built this into the Google search app on Android. Arguably part of Google Now, this is one of the many “OK Google” voice commands you can use on Android.
To use it, you can just say “OK Google, what is this song?” if you have the OK Google hotword enabled anywhere. Or, tap the microphone on the search bar at the top of your home screen and say “What is this song?” Google also offers an “Okay Google, Shazam this song” shortcut if you have the Shazam app installed — that will immediately open the Shazam app instead of using Google’s own song-identification feature.

Windows 10 : CORTANA
cortana voice search
Cortana is your clever new personal assistant.
Cortana will help you find things on your PC, manage your calendar, track packages, find files, chat with you, and tell jokes. The more you use Cortana, the more personalized your experience will be.
To get started, type a question in the search box on the taskbar. Or select the microphone icon and talk to Cortana. (Typing works for all types of PCs, but you need a mic to talk.)

shazam voice search
Shazam, the app that tells you the name of whatever song is playing in the background,Apple hasn’t yet made Siri part of Mac OS X, so you can’t use Siri to do this on a Mac like you can use Cortana to do this on a Windows 10 PC. However, Shazam has made a free version of its song-identification app available for Mac users. You can download Shazam for Mac from the Mac App Store.
Interestingly, the app runs automatically in the background, listening to songs playing nearby and building up a list of songs you’ve heard playing nearby. You can wonder “what were those songs playing earlier?” and scroll through a list of them if your Mac was turned on at the time you were hearing them.
This also will pick up music playing on your Mac, assuming you’re playing it from your Mac’s speakers and its microphone can hear it.

Windows 7, Linux, Chrome OS, and  Anything With a Web Browser
midomi voice search
Midomi is a web-based tool provided by a SoundHound, a Shazam competitor. This is the closest thing there is a to a web-based version of Shazam.
This tool instructs you to “sing or hum” a particular song, but you don’t have to do that. Play the actual song for your computer’s microphone to hear and it will identify the song.
As with the above tools, this can pick up audio coming out of your computer’s speakers, too. You can use it to identify a song playing on your computer itself.

Obviously, this trick depends on matching a recorded song playing to a fingerprint of that recorded song in a database somewhere. It generally won’t work with songs being played live. If you can hear some of the lyrics, just plugging them into Google or another search engine often works wonders. Try enclosing them in quotes to find pages containing just those specific phrases. You’ll hopefully find lyrics pages associated with that particular song.
